Advisors Asset Management Portfolio Analyst

Produces portfolio analysis for internal brokers based on portfolio requests that specify portfolio parameters while driving improvements in retention through the effective design and develop portfolio management strategies to include optimization of customer communication channels.



Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and monitor investment portfolios and produce reports on a timely basis with little to no supervision
  • Suggests re-allocation of assets as appropriate
  • Writes high quality narrative explaining rationale, and ensures that the portfolio report is presented professionally and within AAM compliance and standards
  • Educates sales force on various tools such as Security Level Alerts and Monitored Portfolio Solutions
  • Provides sales ideas and selling points for AAM products
  • Drive incremental & step change improvements in portfolio management to include retention of accounts and sales while driving customer satisfaction across channels
  • Assessing and predicting portfolio performance
  • Tracking of performance across channels
  • Develop, design & implement regular reporting and performance metrics for all portfolios
  • Apply quantitative methods to drive and support management decisions
  • Deliver a high degree of customer service to internal customers in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Develop knowledge of portfolio analysis concepts
  • Testing the effectiveness of portfolio strategies, account treatments, call campaigns, and recommending improvements
  • Identify needed system updates and improvements and forward to IT department liaison
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Stays abreast of trends and news within an industry or sector as well as financial stability of municipalities requiring a degree of credit research and analysis for detailed municipal bond review and recommendation
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3- 5 years of experience in portfolio construction
  • Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Required Certifications: Series 7, 66
  • Series 86, 87 preferred
  • Currently enrolled in CFA Program or CFA Chartered
  • Must have superior written and verbal communications skills.
  • Creativity and latitude is required
